Abdelhafid Tasfaout (born February 11, 1969 in Oran, Algeria) is an Algerian former football midfielder. He was captain of the Algerian national football team for five years.Tasfaout suffered a life-threatening head injury during the 2002 African Cup of Nations in Mali. An ambulance was driven onto the pitch to give assistance and at the time many of his team-mates feared he had been killed. However, he made a complete recovery.[1] Tasfaout scored 34 goals for the Algeria national football team.[2] [edit] References
