The Aasi (Urdu:آسی) are a clan of the Chadhar tribe Jats and Rajputs, found in Punjab, Pakistan.[1] They are found mainly in the districts of Sargodha, Chiniot, Mandi Bahauddin, and the Sarai Alamgir tehsil of Gujrat District. In Chiniot District they mostly inhabit the left bank of the river Chenab in Chiniot Tehsil. Their main villages in Chiniot are Qila Aasian, Moza Aasian and Chak No.158Jb Bhowana. Aasis are also the rustic denizens of the rural hinterland of Sargodha District in general and Bhalwal Tehsil in particular. Uppi Rawana is one of the major hamlets of Aasis. In Sillanwali Tehsil of Sargodha District, their main village is Chak 152 North Branch. [edit] References
