ANS TV is a news television channel in Azerbaijan, which has been owned by ANS Group of Companies since it was found on March 9, 1992. Its name, ANS, is driven from the first letters of Azerbaijani News Service. ^[1]

It was the first privately owned independent television company in the former Soviet Union. ^[2]

In the early years of ANS' establishment, there were many local wars in the territory of the former Soviet Union. ANS TV got popularized by reporting news from the frontlines - Chechnya, Georgia, Ossetia, Karabakh, Abkhasia, Afganistan, Ingushetia and frequently selling footage to BBC, CNN, NBC, ZDF, ARD, VOX, RAI, TF, RTR, CBS, TBS.^[3]
