Arthur Lapworth (10 October 1872 – 5 April 1941) was a Scottish chemist born in Galashiels, Scotland, son of Charles Lapworth geologist. He was a pioneer of the field of physical organic chemistry. The Lapworth reaction is named after him. He was a Fellow of the Royal Society, and was awarded the Davy Medal in 1931. [edit] External links
