9X is an Indian Hindi general entertainment channel. It is owned by INX Media Pvt Limited. The channel was launched on November 12, 2007 in India. Launched as the flagship of the INX Network, 9X promises to provide world-class fiction and non-fiction programming and Bollywood films.

On 10 August 2009, 9X ceased broadcasting in the UK on Freesat and Sky Digital where it had been a free-to-air channel. ^[1]

The channel is on the verge of closure, as it had been the biggest sufferer due to a Strike between two unions related to the Indian TV industry. While other channels suffered minor losses, 9X failed to recuperate its loss. The only channel doing well in terms of viewership is 9XM, the music channel of 9X.
