[edit] Career 1995-2000

911 began when Constable met Dawbarn whilst working as a dancer on the show The Hitman and Her. The two later found Brennan, and were signed by Virgin Records. They had their first Top 10 hit in 1996 with "Don't Make Me Wait", which reached #10.[1] Nine more successive Top 10 hits followed, including the UK number one hit "A Little Bit More". The band split up in February 2000, when they announced their break-up live on Chris Moyles' Radio 1 show.

Their song, "Love Sensation" was featured in the 1995 film adaptation of the Harvey Comics character Casper, and was their only U.S. chart hit.

[edit] Reality television and comeback

In 2005, the members of the group reformed to participate in the ITV singing contest, Hit Me Baby One More Time. The band have since done a nightclub tour of the UK and Ireland, performing their most popular hits. More recently, 911 have performed at a number of nightclub and university events, and they entertained the crowd prior to the Bradford Bulls clash with Leeds Rhinos on Friday 23 May 2008.[2]

In 2006, Constable took part in the MTV series Totally Boyband, which followed ex-members of boybands forming into a new band, called Upper Street. Their first (and only) single charted at No. 35 in the UK Singles Chart, and the band has since disbanded, with the whole project deemed a commercial disaster. Constable also appeared in BBC Two game show, Identity, on 28 August 2007, billed as an 'ex boyband member'.

Dawbarn appeared in Never Mind the Buzzcocks's identity parade round in October 2009. Phill Jupitus's team failed to pick him out.

Brennan is married to Lindsay Armaou, formerly of B*Witched.

In 2009, they took part in LivingTV's, Pop Goes The Band; where the band members came together to get back to their boyband ways, resulting in a live performance. They performed "Body Shakin'".
