The 2009–10 National Football League playoffs officially lead up to Super Bowl XLIV, to be played in Miami Gardens, Florida at Dolphin Stadium on Sunday, Februrary 7, 2010. The tournament, consisting of three single elimination rounds, will begin on Saturday, January 9 with the Wild Card Round, to be played over two days, followed by the Divisional Playoff Rounds starting on January 16 and the AFC and NFC Championship Games to be played on Sunday, January 24. In each round, the highest seeded team will have home field advantage.

For this round of the playoffs, both CBS and FOX will have two sets of announcers. CBS will have the Jim Nantz-Phil Simms team for one of the games, and their second team, Greg Gumbel (play-by-play) and Dan Dierdorf (color commentator), while FOX uses their primary team of Joe Buck and Troy Aikman at one site, and their secondary team of Kenny Albert (play-by-play), Darryl Johnston (color commentator) and Tony Siragusa (sideline reporter) at the other game.
