The New York Yankees' 2003 season was the 101st season for the Yankees. The team finished with a record of 101-61 finishing 6 games ahead of the Boston Red Sox. New York was managed by Joe Torre. The Yankees played at Yankee Stadium. In the playoffs, they got to the World Series before losing in a dramatic 6 game series to the Florida Marlins. [edit] Regular Season On June 11, 2003, six Astros pitchers combined to throw a no-hitter against the New York Yankees. The six pitchers were Roy Oswalt, Pete Munro, Kirk Saarloos, Brad Lidge, Octavio Dotel and Billy Wagner.[5] It was the first no-hitter against the Yankees in 45 years.
