Andre Agassi defeated Rainer Schüttler 6-2 6-2 6-1 in the final to win the Men's Singles title at the 2003 Australian Open. This was Agassi's eighth and last Grand Slam title, his first having come at the 1992 Wimbledon Championships. This tournament was also notable for the 21-19 fifth set of the quarterfinal between Andy Roddick and Younes El Aynaoui, the longest of the Open Era.[1]
