The 1912 Giro d'Italia of cycling was held from May 19 to June 2, 1912, consisting of 9 stages, for a total of 2,443 km. It was the first and last Giro d'Italia to be disputed in squads and it was won by Team Atala.

The winning team was composed of Luigi Ganna (who retired during the fifth stage), Carlo Galetti, Eberardo Pavesi and Giovanni Micheletto, nicknamed "The 4 musketeers". The individual time classification, although not official, saw Galetti at the first place, with 100h 02' 57".

Of 54 starting cyclists only 26 completed the race. The fourth stage Pescara-Rome was canceled because the cyclists refused to continue the race due to the overflow of a small river. The drawback extended the route of the stage of 15 km and the riders arrived in Rome by train. The onlookers, that were waiting for the arrival at the stadium, claimed back the price of the ticket. The stage was then "replaced" adding a ninth stage from Milan to Bergamo.
