The 1892 Recreo earthquake was an earthquake that took place in the Catamarca Province of Argentina.

on 27 October 1894, at about 01:45 AM. with magnitude 6.0 in the Richter scale. Its epicenter was located approximately at 29°30′0″S 65°0′0″W / 29.5°S 65°W / -29.5; -65, and at a depth of 30 km.

The earthquake was felt with grade VII in the Mercalli intensity scale. It caused some fatalities and serious structural damage in the town of Recreo.
