Émile Edmund Peynot was a prominent french Artist and sculptor. He was born in the year 1880 and is well-known for his victory in the Prix de Rome sculpture competition^[1]

One of his most famous pieces is a statue of Henri Schneider erected in his home town of Le Creusot^[2]
Another famous work of his was the statue of an Arab cleaning his weapon, which sold for a lot of money in 2000^[3]
