Álvaro Antón Camarero (born December 28, 1983 in Pinilla de los Barruecos, Burgos) is a Spanish footballer who currently plays for Recreativo de Huelva on loan from Real Valladolid, as a midfielder. [edit] Football careerAntón grew in the ranks of Real Valladolid and, after having appeared in 2002–03 first division's closing round, a 1-1 draw at Deportivo Alavés, he played in three Segunda División seasons. In 2006–07, he contributed with two goals in 21 matches (including in a 1–0 win at Málaga CF) as the team returned to the first division after three years. In 2007–08, Antón was absent throughout the first half of the season, only appearing in cup matches, and would be loaned in January 2008 to Racing de Ferrol, eventually relegated to the third division. In 2008–09, Antón was loaned again, now to promoted CD Numancia. He would play his first game for the Soria side on August 31, 2008, playing the second half of a 1–0 home win against FC Barcelona. However, in November, in a home defeat against Real Betis, he suffered a serious anterior cruciate ligament injury, being lost for the rest of the season. His #21 jersey was given to new signing Carlos Aranda. In late August 2009, Antón moved again on loan, joining Recreativo de Huelva for 2009–10's second division. [edit] External links
