This is a Spanish name; the first family name is Núñez and the second is Moreira. Álvaro Adrián Núñez Moreira (born May 11, 1973 in Rivera) is an Uruguayan footballer who currently plays with CD Guadalajara in Spain, as a goalkeeper. He also has a Spanish passport, having spent over a decade playing in the country.
[edit] Club careerAfter playing in his country with Centro Atlético Fénix, C.A. Cerro and C.A. Rentistas, Núñez moved to Spain in 1999, signing with CD Numancia. An undisputed starter in his first two seasons (both in the first division, playing 72 matches combined), he started struggling for a starting XI berth, and was majorly a backup in the rest of his Soria career, which was almost entirely spent in the second level. After nine matches in 2007–08, as Numancia returned to the topflight after three years, Núñez left the club but stayed in the country, joining lowly CD Guadalajara. [edit] International careerNúñez gained one cap for Uruguay, and was the backup at the 1999 Copa América. [edit] Honours[edit] Club[edit] Country
